      Oliver Townend and Fenya's Elegance at the 2015 European Championships

 

Oliver Townend has taken the CIC3* title at Ballindenisk on board the Irish Sport Horse Fenya's Elegance

Oliver finished on his dressage score of 44, just 0.10 penalties ahead of Ireland's Cathal Daniels on Sammy Davies Junior in second, who in turn was just 0.10 ahead of Sarah Ennis on BLM Diamond Delux at the Ballindenisk International Horse Trials in Co Cork.

Another British rider on an Irish bred horse, Michael Owen on The Highland Prince, won the CCI3* and Flora Harris with Billy Bandit won the CCI2*

The Irish Sport Horse Studbook Young Horse Eventing Championships also took place during the event with a prize fund of €25,000 rewarding the owners of young horses that showed the potential to perform at the highest level in international eventing

The winners were;

Luke Drea riding Gorsehill Horatio - ISH Studbook six -year-old championship

Felicity Ward and Shanagore Jenga - ISH Studbook five-year-old championship

Sian Hawkes (GBR) and Poynstown Star - ISH Studbook four-year-old championship
