“It’s bloody brilliant!” Is Belsay Horse Trials organiser Laura De Wesselow talking about last weekend’s event, their great sponsors, her daughter’s performance at the British Pony Championships, next year’s international classes at Belsay or maybe all of the above?
Helena Barras caught up with Laura at an emotional (and busy!) point during the Belsay Horse Trials as Laura discovered that her daughter Xanthe had finished in sixth place at the British Pony Championships at Brand Hall riding Baramona Lass.
Next year Laura will call on her years of experience as a ‘rider’s mum’ as well as event organiser when Belsay will host the British Pony Championships (CCI-S2*BCP), as well as a CCI-S 2* for all other competitors from 2020-2025
