Congratulations to all winners at Allerton Park in North Yorkshire but especially the six winners of our cross country video prizes;

On Saturday Heidi Woodhead’s DHI horses proved hard to beat, winning two of the Novice classes. The appropriately names Gorgeous DHI finished on his dressage score of 27 while Handsome DHI added four faults in the show jumping but, thanks to a strong start in the dressage, still took his class on a score of 32. Heidi had a great weekend all round, not only winning these two classes but also picking up two second places, a third and 13th

In the Open Novice Under 18 Connie Gill and Florida  took the honours, leading from start to finish. Connie, who rode as an individual for Team GB at the 2018 European Championships for Ponies to finish eighth on Movie Star II, has had a great season with the eight year-old Florida, adding this win to those at Richmond and Shelford Manor (1) and (2)

On Sunday our winners were James Somerville and Altaskin Jack in the Open Intermediate, Lucy Scholl and Just Dunnit in the Novice Section Q and Charlotte Parry-Ashcroft riding Wil Jack B King in the Novice R, who blitzed the field towards the very of the event, finishing late on Sunday afternoon with a double clear cross country to complete on their dressage score of 21.3

It was a fabulous event at Lord and Lady Mowbray’s 250 acre historic park with its lakes and scenic views and we have a full report coming up soon ………….
