An Eventful Life is filming all competitors on cross country at Burnham Market (2) – find out more here

Oliver Townend may be the newly crowned 2023 Defender Burghley Champion but, as he said at the final press conference, he has some wonderful young horses coming up thanks to the support of Caunton Stud and some of those will be competing at Burnham Market (2) Horse Trials in Norfolk this weekend.

Originally schedule for its normal two days, Burnham Market (2) is now just running on Sunday 10th September with classes from BE90 to Open Intermediate.

Oliver has three horses running in the OI with Sir John Peace’s CCI2*-L winner from Osberton 2022, Finley Du Loir, Trevillick and Hathaway Whole Lotta Love competing in this class and another French-bred Caunton Horse, En Taro Des Vernier by Tom Carlile’s stallion Upsilon, in the Intermediate

Various other Burghley competitors including Alice Casburn, who had another top 10 finish in the CCI5*, are competing at Burnham Market, as is the 2022 Champion, Piggy March with various horses across the class

We’ll be filming all riders and horses on cross country and don’t forget to keep an eye on our Facebook and Instagram pages for video snippets during the event
