Shenae Lowings and her World Championship and Olympic horse Bold Venture showed their experience at Tamworth International CCI/CCN today, starting in the lead after dressage on a score of 25.2 and jumping clear under lights in the big outdoor arena at AELEC to maintain that top spot at the end of the day.

The showjumping of the ProTen CCI4*-S caused its fair share of problems with Shenae and her partner Sam Woods, in fifth place, the only two to jump double clear in the late afternoon session. Oliver Barrett riding Sandhills Briar added just 1.2 time penalties to move into second place (29.2) while one rail dropped Andrew Barnett riding Oscar Park Deluge into third place (31.30). Jess Somerfield has two in the top six, thanks to two clear jumping rounds with just time faults for Finch Farm Carpentaria in fourth (33.20) and APH Sensation in sixth (34).

Christine Bates riding Bloomfield Findon has a strong lead in the CCN4* on their dressage and showjumping score of 23.70, Hannah Deegan and HK Hawthorn also maintained their dressage lead after the showjumping in the Britt Grovenor Photography CCI3*-S and Emma Bishop riding Bobby Dazzler, recent winners at the Sydney Eventing Spring Classic, is in the top spot of the Britt Grovenor Photography CCN3*.
