Jaymee is the eldest daughter of Stuart and Karen Tinney. Born in 1995, Jaymee started her riding career at the age of seven. Her first pony was Snowy who was shared with her younger sister, Gemma. Snowy unfortunately passed away at an age no one is sure of!

Then came Sly, a 11.2hh ex-show pony from Gemma’s godmother, Kate Edwards... luckily a lease and again a share with Gemma. Sly was the slowest pony of all times but did his job so well. The best pony of all times Bluebell came after Sly, again from Kate. Bluebell still lives at the Tinney’s property and will never be sold or leased! She is in good company with Stuart’s Olympic gold medal mount, Jeepster

Bluebell really put Jaymee on the map of riding and competing with trophies and ribbons from pony clubs and interschool competitions to low level eventing. Jaymee rode Bluebell for several years until she was able to step up to Honey, 14.3hh and a ‘gun’ jumper/eventer with barrel racing her specialty. It did not matter what you put her to, as she loved working but not so good to tack up (always tried to bite!)

Sadly Jaymee outgrew Honey after a few years, but not without an accolade of trophies. Then came her first horse, Frosty a T/B 16.1hh who could be a handful but was mastered, with the help of mum and dad. Frosty took Jaymee to 1 Star level at the age of 15 and then, without much notice, Frosty was sold to Indonesia! You have to be tough if you are a Tinney girl!

Then came the amazing Murrabong Kinganui on lease from a student of Stuart and Karen’s who unfortunately took a trip home to India, got knocked over, has had shoulder reconstruction and remains in India for two years rehabilitating and studying. Jaymee has certainly scored the ride of her life with ‘King’

Jaymee is listed on National Elite Youth Eventing Squad 2012 and has a Youth Scholarship with the NSW Institute of Sport. She is currently studying in Year 12 and lives at home in Maraylya, NSW
