I started riding at a riding school when I was four and I’m now sixteen. I think I was keen from the start and got my first pony when I was about eight, from then it took about another 2 years before I started pony club

I just did the usual sort of gymkhanas and didn’t start eventing until I was about 14 on my Galloway Bruce, a 14.2hh Welsh Arab. Bruce was really good and took me through introductory and preliminary level quite successfully but now we are looking at selling him because I have moved on to a 16.3hh Warmblood/TB/Percheron cross, called Positano.

We got Positano from Andrew Haddad and he is really lovely to ride. I am just about to move him up to pre novice level and I would like to think we could try a one star track by the end of the year. I think he is a really capable horse and I would love to see how far I can go with him and I’ll be keeping you up to date with how our plans are going.

Do I want to make an Olympic team? … Of course, but I think right now it’s important for me to focus on my immediate goals. I have always had the attitude of go hard or go home and that’s what I intend to do at every upcoming event. I want to make the most of any opportunity that comes my way, which could help me towards my dream of riding at top level.

Like a lot of people I love eventing because the buzz you get from riding a good cross country round is amazing but the other reason I enjoy it so much is from the social aspect. People are so nice and friendly and being at an event is just the best place to be.
