While the International classes completed their dressage at the Fairfax & Favor Rockingham International Horse Trials, the BE100 classes and some of the Novice sections had a hit out on cross country to complete their event on Friday

Four BE100 sections took part on a 'beefy course' with Flora Harris taking a win on her dressage score of 25.5 in the Section F on board her and Brenda Watson’s Class Spec, a five-year-old chestnut gelding that Flora is excited about for the future

Paul Sims and Killinure Master, fifth in the Novice Section J

Paul Sims won the Section G, and our cross country video prize, in a hotly contested section on board Bloomfields Spotlight with a score of 23.5. Last weekend’s Chatsworth ERM winner, Laura Collett was back to basics today with the five year old ‘baby’ Outback II who has Yogi Breisner among his owners, a man who should know how to spot future potential, finishing second (24.8) and Alex Postolowsky on Iden Van De Rosweide

Kylie Roddy on Darling Du Loir took the BE100 Section H and Amy Hawley won the Section E riding Broadstone Primrose

Sweden’s Ludwig Svennerstal creamed the competition in the Novice Section L riding Magnolia, a talented seven year old mare that has had three wins from four starts so far this year (watch their win at Whitfield here). They finished on a score of 17.8, well ahead of Tom McEwen riding Brookfield Benjamin Bounce on 24.2

Tom took the win in the Novice Section K however, and another of our cross country video prizes, on the Duchess of Devonshire’s Chatsworth Diamond (although our favourite in this class was Mr Bing Bong, simply because of his name)

Martyn Johnson has also has two wins so far this season at this level with Patrickswell Scorpion and added another one on Friday, winning the Section I while Alex Kennedy riding Golden Power won the Section J
