Lincolnshire Horse Trials 2026 entries open

Entries are now open for the 2026 Lincolnshire Horse Trials which this year is running with a new organisation at the helm.

The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society will be running the 2026 event which takes place from Friday 20th – Sunday 22nd March at the Lincolnshire Showground, Grange-de-Lings. But many things remain the same, with the cross country courses designed and built by British Eventing Platinum builder and B List Professional Designer Joe Weller.

It is a popular venue for an early season run, with the flat ground of the Showgrounds incorporating some man-made undulations and a good variety of forward galloping fences designed to give confidence at all levels as well as asking the right questions at the higher levels.

Just as importantly for this time of year, the courses run across well drained land with loam over limestone, giving ideal going even in wetter conditions.

With classes running from BE90 to Advanced Intermediate, the event attracts combinations from grassroots level to top level. At the 2025 Lincoln Horse Trials, then run by Riseholm College, Kitty King and Kantango won the Advanced Intermediate while Laura Collett and Oliver Townend scooped four of the five Open Intermediate sections.

Entries are open now with a Ballot Date of 24th February – get those entries in!
