New Zealand’s Monica Spencer has taken the win in the 2026 Devon Horse Show & County Fair Arena Eventing in Pennsylvania, USA and pocketed a handsome $12,500 for her efforts.

Monica, who is based locally in Pennsylvania has competed at the Grand Prix Eventing in Aiken previously on her top horse Artist, but this time decided to ride the nine-year-old mare Valkyrie. The pair finished with no jumping faults over the two rounds of the Captain Mark Phillips designed track, jumped under lights during Sunday evening, and with the fastest time of 78.522 in the shortened second round.

“We watched it on TV last year, and I thought, ‘I’d like to do that next year’” said Monica “Devon is such a special venue. I’ve been here to show jump before, and I loved it. The locals and the spectators, the crowds — they really support this show, and it’s one of our favorites. I’d like to come back here as much as I can.”

Arielle Aharoni (USA) riding Notorious took second place and $10,000 while Boyd Martin riding Miss Lulu, winners here the past two years, had to settle for third place ($7,500) and Monica also took fourth place ($5,000) on the nine-year-old Flyboy.

Australia’s Ema Klugman claimed seventh and eighth places on RF Redfern and FVF Wildflower.
