The 2023 European Eventing Championship show jumping course time was tight enough and, because of the lack of space and several related distances, it was hard to find anywhere to save valuable seconds.
But the four British riders produced good rides in front of the enthusiastic crowd at Le Haras du Pin in Normandy, France to take their 24th team title in the 70-year history of this Championship.

A dramatic and surprising cross country day unfolded at the 2023 FEI European Eventing Championships.
Britain remained at the top of the team leaderboard on a score of 98.7 with Ros Canter and Kitty King in first and third places individually, Germany is in second (126) despite the shock elimination of Michael Jung and the home side France has moved into third (126.2), thanks to three riders in the top ten.
