A decade on and we still love watching these legends of the sport.
William Fox-Pitt had just returned to competition after a life threatening fall at Le Lion d’Angers in October 2015, finishing 11th in the CCI3* (now 4*) at Chatsworth International. The pair went on to be part of the British team at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games a few months later, the famous 5* winning stallion’s last event before retiring to stud.

David Doel on Galileo Nieuwmoed at Hartpury International Horse Trials inc British Championships 2025
David Doel topped the British Eventing leaderboard for the Most Cross Country Clear Jumping rides in 2025 with 125 of his 142 runs producing clear cross country rounds. Renowned for his cross country prowess, David took third place in the British Open Championship at Hartpury International on board Galileo Nieuwmoed, with this double clear cross country round helping them move onto the podium.
But a fabulous cross country ride from Shane and the off the track thoroughbred put them on the podium and this is how they did it.
Laura Collett on Dacapo at Thoresby Park International Eventing Spring Carnival 2025
Laura Collett topped the British Eventing leaderboard for the Highest Number of Wins in 2025, including this win in the CCI4*-S on board Dacapo at Thoresby Park International Eventing Spring Carnival.
Laura announced at the end of the year that 'after wins and placings at many 4* events the time has come for him to drop down a level and show a very talented Young Rider the ropes'. So let's take one last look back at Laura and Dacapo doing what they did so well together
